When would you start advertising for summer spots? What about for the fall?

I just filled a spot for October when I get back from my mat leave. I didn't advertise for it, but I did let it be known on my website that I had a space coming open at that time.

I just interviewed for a summer spot yesterday. If they weren't waiting on word from gma about what days she'll be taking the girl I'd have had them all signed up yesterday. I don't think it's too soon now. This girls BS/AS center based program was already asking the parents to sign up for summer spots.

Thinking ahead 8-12 weeks would be perfect. Time flys so you are better to be prepared and have a list of potential clients. I would start around 8 weeks myself, but many people seem to be out there looking for another provider in the dark and will stay quiet about it until it's close to switch daycares even. If you had a fall spot, I would mention it, but I think it's too soon to interview.
