    Bad Timing...

so we had just finished a craft and had a snack a few min ago ago and as I was finishing loading the dishwasher my dd ramed her baby stroller into my ds and well he had a bawling screaming fit and in the middle of this my 20mo. old dck gets into her diaper bag and gets out a snack that was in there insisting i open it I tell her to put it back in her bag 2 cause we had just had a snack all this time my ds 3yr old is still throwing a fit wanting me to hold him I dont give in to holding him when he is whinning and carrying on since he really wasnt hurt by the stroller anyways as this is all taking place I again am raising my voice just in order for 20mo. old to hear me over my ds screaming fit to put the snack back in her bag just then another of the dck mom walks in mind you it is a bright sunny day here and have my windows open hope she doesnt think i was raising my voice to be mean. sorry just had to release some steam

It's hard when parents see the chaos of daycare. It's completely normal, but to an outside source, it might look like you can't handle it. I'm sure you were just doing what needed to be done. Everything was happening at once. The important thing is that you didn't lose your temper! Did the dcp say anything?

I had something like that happen a couple of days ago - my SA's were acting up and I was reprimanding them in a stern, raised voice (not "yelling, per se, but getting their attention since they were being loud) and the DCD of the baby walked in right then. I was embarrassed, but I'm sure he realizes that I don't yell at his baby.

no she never did say anything when any parents come all the 4yr olds go run and "hide" from them usually behind a chair and I say oh they are not here they just left and the parent says oh ok i guess ill just leave then then up pops the kid but she looked around looking for her ds and i explained why my ds was standing at my legs throwing a fit wanting to be held she just kinda laughed and got her son and they went on their way I like quick in and out drop offs/pickups all my parents are really good about it except 1 whos ds 4 runs outside and into my playyard and the parent just lets him play for a few min until she finally after telling him for the upteen time to come on finally gets him in the car
