Terming when the 2nd week will be vacation

I'm a registered user but I'm not sure if dcp read the forum

I've decided to term a family that I have posted about not to long ago and everyone responded that I need to term as this family is very disrespectful towards me and my policies. So, my last straw was when I notified dcm that I was coming down with something and she got really upset and asked if I would be closed the next day.. I told her I will see how I feel in the morning.. long story short.. I had strep and the flu at the same time..yes, I was closed! So, my question is... is it wrong to term the week before the dcm (who's week it is) goes on vacation? (this parent doesn't work) I've already informed dcm that payment will be needed on that Monday for both weeks and I'll be informing dcd of that this week. So, I'll be paid for the 2 weeks.. but I feel wrong for giving 2 weeks notice when they will be on vacation the second week.

You said the Mom doesn't work? If I'm understanding that, she doesn't actually need daycare so caring for her own child shouldn't be an issue. If I'm misunderstanding and she does work, and vacation is out of town, you could offer an extra week just to be nice, but under the cirucumstances, I don't know if I'd feel obliged to do so.

That would be my answer, although to be fair I've never termed anyone (yet).
Hee hee! Look, I have a signature!

If she asked for vacation a while ago, you might extend the 2 weeks to go past the vacation, because she cannot resonably find alternate care while out of town, KWIM?

You understood completely... mom does not work. She was a stay at home mom for a long time and when they divorced very recently she is "looking for work"...yet...she comes in with her french manicures (not my business what she does) and fights me on my policy's when her child was sick about keeping this child home. She was more worried about the paying for the missed day and yes her child is ft!
