When You Need A Silver Lining...

it's something REALLY hard to find one.

This morning's silver lining is that even though this family is driving me insane with ignoring policies, making obnoxious demands, high-maintenance parents, and more....they sure are showing me where my policies need firming up and improving, and where I need to make things CRYSTAL clear to parents at the interview. Because "clear" just isn't good enough apparently.

And after the 5000 questions they asked me trying to figure out what the deal is with the 14 vacation days I offer my daycare families, they STILL don't get it.

Okay, so it's not a very shiny silver lining, because in essence I'm still really grumpy at this family and sick of dealing with them, but at least I'm trying.
Hee hee! Look, I have a signature!

This is why I don't do any unpaid days. If I'm open they pay. If I'm on vacation they pay. If they are gone for ANY reason they pay.

The best way to NOT have money conflict and conversations is to not allow any gray areas.
