Didn't want to hijack another posters thread so I'll ask my question here. A recent post mentioned that Michael's craft store hosted a Dr Suess event today where the kids made free bookmarks and such.
We have a Michael's less than a mile from here and I would have loved to do that do this had I only known about it! I have 2 kids out this week (without proper notice so I didn't have time to plan
). Since I can't fit everyone in my vehicle when all my dcks are here, this week is the perfect time for us to go somewhere...but where? I don't know how to find things on such short notice. Yesterday we drove to a new park and tomorrow we are going to the library for storytime.
Does anyone know of a website (or other resource) where you can put in your zipcode and it will give you a list of kid-friendly things to do in your area for the week/month/season? I usually use the local town paper but am always disappointed when I hear about an event that I missed.
