    Kidkare Sending 1099-K form

When did this start and why do they feel they have the authority?

"Form 1099-K, Payment Card and Third Party Network Transactions, is an IRS information return used to report certain payment transactions to improve voluntary tax compliance. You should receive Form 1099-K by January 31st if, in the prior calendar year, you received payments:"

I paid for this program for my own use. I was unaware it was policing. I report my earnings, but this is just underhanded.

Interesting. Their site mentions about 1099-K here https://help.kidkare.com/help/form-1099k. If they posted it there only and did not send broadcasts to their members about it, not to mention implementing that change inside of a year instead of beginning so members could decide what they want to do, DOES seem underhanded. I wonder if other child care apps are/have been issuing 1099K?
