For those of you that want to reflect back on how we felt about coronavirus earlier in February, here is our first thread. There was a lot we didn’t know and some fearful speculation. https://www.daycare.com/forum/showthread.php?t=93085- Flag

When you fight in a war you dont go to the front lines naked with no weapons, you have some kind of weapon, and plan of attack (strategy) to protect yourself, to stop the enemy as best as you can, or at least slow them down until you can, its not all willy nilly chaos- Flag

Your tone (and I assume I’m not in the minority) has simply come across as rude, condescending and better than.
That usually results in an argumentative response
Your point could have been made in a much kinder and gentler way IMPO.
A majority of providers here probably feel similar to you but it’s hard to discuss and agree when one feels ridiculed.
Most of us are doing everything possible to prevent spread as our livelihoods depend on it.
We’re not the bad guys but yet I personally feel you came out swinging.

I never said that anyone here wasn't doing what they were supposed to be doing, or that anyone here were the bad guys, but if that's how you feel, so be it- Flag

My family and I have been very lucky, and I dont want to see anymore people die, I wish everyone would just wear a mask, its such a small thing to do, I would not be able to live with myself if I caused someone to get infected because I didn't wear a mask, I am talking about myself specifically, not anyone here- Flag

Correct me if I am wrong, but I think you’re just trying to discuss the topic in general and may have inadvertently set the tone as negative (or whatever word fits for readers) but in reality you are feeling similar to the rest of us who simply want normal back or at the very least some sense of it.
Financial survival as well as actual physical survival (and many other types of survival) all play a role in this so all facets must be considered. If only one side is addressed it won’t matter.
A car with one flat tire negates the ability to drive it.
I am leery of the vaccine.
I wear a mask 100% of the time outside my home
My DH is a type 1 diabetic
I follow the suggested rules because there isn’t any other way to “fight” right now but I can’t ignore the financial and mental health impacts while fighting this.
I think I speak for everyone but we are all frustrated, scared and a bit angry albeit for different reasons but the difference is I respect the choices others make even if I don’t agree because I can not change others.- Flag

I think that maybe, when I am passionate about something I tend to communicate it the wrong way, maybe I am wrong, maybe none of this stuff matters, I don't know anymore- Flag
