    Help With a Response

    I screwed up and need help with a professional response please.

    I had a dcf contact me awhile back and at the time I wanted this family. I told them I could provide care, but would need to apply for a variance though. They would need care end of August and I tried a couple times to meet up and it just never worked. I hadn't heard anything until today. Dcm asked me when the kids could come and meet me

    My variance didn't go through since it would be a ratio change and I would have to go through the county to do this. Not going to do it. I already offered the spot to a family, so I have no room.

    I know I should have communicated better, it was just so crazy and I kinda forgot about them. I have no excuse.

    How do I respond?

        It went just fine! There was no signed contract or communication in a couple months, so I'm surprised she thought she had a spot.

        But, I'm sure not alot of people know how this business works
