Strategies for the Kids Who Talks Over Others

I have a 4yr dcb who waits for others to talk and then talks over them, mumbles, makes notices, etc. I call him out every time, he stops and tries to listen to his friends, its slowly getting better. Just wondering if anyone has other strategies that worked for this?
