Does child get some outside time after dinner to burn off energy?
What is your child's bedtime routine?
Do they get a calming parent led story time before bed?
How much TV is child watching before bed?
What time are you putting your child to bed?

This is a parent issue, not a nap issue.

"How many hours of physical activity does your child have after dinner to burn off the calories? Do you play in the backyard? Go to the park? Take a family walk? Ride bikes?"

"Ok, I understand. Just let me know if you want to make next Friday your last day so I can notify someone from the waiting list. Thanks!"
      - Unless otherwise stated, all my posts are personal opinion and worth what you paid for them.

They are fighting you to eliminate nap?

Just keep saying "I do not provide a nap-free environment."

I really don't care what their argument is. It's not a service I provide. If they want to eliminate nap, then find a program that will accommodate their wishes. Simple.

If they continue, then I'd probably call them on it. "We've already discussed what services I offer. If my program no longer fits your needs, should I consider this your two week notice?"

          Ugh, I hate that.
My go to phrase anytime anyone questions: I’m so sorry but absolutely none of my policies are negotiable. That’s why I tell everyone at interview that it’s super important to read over everything really carefully to make sure it’s going to be a good fit for your family. If you need to put in your two weeks, I totally understand. Don’t forget that I’ll need two weeks payment in cash along with your notice.
          Said verrrryyyyyy sweetly but sincerely

I used to ask.these questions and no one answered truthfully. Parents just want it easy when they get home.

Give them a nap, tell the parents you didn't and see if they magically start going to bed on time again ::

Exactly. I have 3 that are here7:30-6 and get put in bed by 7. Parents all say they like a little time to themselves before bed. :confused:Why did you have kids?!

Now *there's* a question I wish some parents could answer honestly.
I truly think a lot of parents don't realize what a commitment parenting is.

I tell parents that naps happen at my house every single day after lunch and if they don't want their child to nap then they need to find somewhere else to send them.

                          To way too many...

                          Kids = Facebook props....

I recently had a mom post a cute photo of her and her three kids on the couch. She had her laptop on her lap. She made a post about "how hard it was to get some work done today with this cute tribe!"

At the time of posting...her youngest was playing in front of me....at daycare........it was a staged photo from the weekend.

Cue all the "You're such a great mom" "I don't know how you do it" comments....

I have been down this road many times! The best one is “they don’t have to nap, just lie quietly...sleeping is their choice”. That usually shuts them up.
