    Show and Shiv??

Yes...the two year old's mother thought this was a good idea for her son's show and tell. He had it in his pocket
I called her to remind her of our no weapons policy. Her excuse was
"I couldn't get it away from him, so told him he could take it for show and tell".......

    Ridiculous.

Remind her of the public schools' zero-tolerance policy. She could have gotten him expelled.

            Well that's a new one.

Do parents hear themselves when things like that come out of their mouths?

My question is why did he have it in the first place?

To me it looks like a halloween carver. Possibly picked it up off a table or something?

Don't care what it is or where the child found it. There shouldn't of been a situation where the child had access to it especially unsupervised.
