    High Pitched Scream

I have a 14-month-old who i've had since she was 5 months old. She has started a high pitched scream while playing, eating, and when she wakes up. She isn't in pain, it just seems to be a new 'game' for her. The problem is that she sleeps with another toddler in the room, and her screaming wakes the poor girl, who just cries for more sleep.

Any ideas on how to stop this new habit. I'm not sure how much more I can take!

Unfortunately, this is one of those "wait it out" things. The more attention you give to it, the longer it will take.

I have a 12 month old that does the same thing. I told her one day in a stern voice to stop each time she did it. For some reason it worked and she hasn’t done it since. She will still squeel if she falls and gets hurt or is crying but at least it is in improvement from before when she was doing it all the time.
