    Georgia-Misdemeanors

    Hello, I am wanting to own a family home daycare with/thru BrightStar but I am afraid my background will cause me to be disqualified and I need advice because I already invested a lot of money to start my cda and I do not want to waste anymore time/money. I received a dui- misdemeanor a few years back. What do you think my chances will be?

    Georgia is very thorough with Comprehensive National Background checks. Everyone who visits or lives in your home over the age of 17 must have them done at least every 5 years (it automatically updates changes during that time, as well). This PDF should help you. It is from the Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning, Bright from the Start. http://decal.ga.gov/documents/attachments/crcpolicy.pdf

    . A violation of O.C.G.A. ยง 40-6-391, relating to DUI, when a child is endangered;
    - Unless otherwise stated, all my posts are personal opinion and worth what you paid for them.
