    Parting Gift?

When you have a child leave your daycare, do you give them a gift?

I have one leaving at the end of the month and would like to get him a little something. Just stumped on what to get!

    Any ideas?

    I used to.

It was typically I book that I wrote a little something in.
I'd search Amazon for preschool books that had their name in the title.

So far I’ve just done a little bag from the dollar store with some stickers, note pads, and pack of markers. Mine leave me for kindergarten.

        Thanks guys!

He isn't leaving to go anywhere else. His mom doesn't work and I think it finally became a financial issue.

I was thinking books. Can't go wrong with those!

I always do a big book order through my kids scholastic program at school. Lots of inexpensive books for all occasions. Books are my go to for all daycare related gift giving. I also do playdoh and small stuffies.

We always are take pictures of all the different activities we do here and just random fun pictures from the time they start here, When they get ready to leave us for whatever reason we make a little photo album of all the memories. We sometimes also do a pillowcase with all the kids handprints (with their names written by it) on them with a little poem in the middle..
Now I lay me down to sleep
            instead of counting sheep
I will count all my friends that I
played with at Ms. Kay's house

I have a collection of $1 or free-with-points Scholastic books so I write a message in a book and write a Thank You card for the parents. I also have laminated 8x10 photos of the children playing in the playroom so I pick one of those with the child and some of his/her friends to send home. If we have a group photo I might print that out, but the parents get those through email anyway so I don't usually.
