CDA Portfolio Advice

I have been taking all the classes required to earn my CDA and have begun working on creating my portfolio. I’m a bit at a loss as how to begin. I have the book that I got when I completed my hours but it just shows WHAT you need not HOW to put it all together and how to best write competency statements. Has anyone completed a CDA Portfolio and wishes to share a few tip? Are there any online resources available? Any helps on writing competency statements that are concise without being wordy? I’d appreciate any advice or suggestions. Thanks.

I used clear plastic sleeves in a 3 ring binder. I still use it for popping some of my licensing & training certificates in.
