Can anyone recommend specific vehicles (make, model, year) that can fit 5 or 6 car seats/boosters safely? I'd like to be able to take my kids to the school playground and city playground and swimming pool and State Park safely when I have 5 or 6 kids (or even just 4 kids). Thanks so much.

I would say Van unless you prefer to buy a bigger suv that have third rows. I am planning to buy a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee are now more room that will fit three kids in the back better than my jeep. If my jeep will be totaled then we will buy for it for sure. (I am not ready but I have no choice)

A lot of it depends on the carseats you have also. Keep in mind that wider carseats and those with arm rests take up more room. I have an 07 Grand Caravan and can fit 5 seats, but they have to be put in the right order and without arm rests for the back seat.- Flag

Before go car shopping, I would talk to your car insurance company about how much more money it will cost you to cover all of the children in the car in the event of an accident. Let me tell you it is going to cost you a lot more than you think. Also, you might want to talk to the DCP about your idea, because a lot of my parents are aganist having their child travel with another person in their vehicle.
I have only 6 kids a million dollar accidental coverage and it is still not good enough for some of my parents....
Not trying to tell you not to do it, just giving you a heads up on things that need to be covered before the fun can begin.- Flag

Yes you are correct, most insurance companies will not require you to have extra coverage, but let me ask you this question? will you be able to financially cover any and every child in your car in the event that there is an accident?- Flag

I have a 2009 Toyota Sienna 8 passenger. I'm trying to get 3 across the back seat and can not do it with the seats I have. But I can fit all 3 of my huge carseats in the middle row, 2 narrow seats in the 3rd with a lowback booster or RideSafer vest for the third occupant in that row. This only works for me because I trust my 7yo to sit well in the backless. I'm a carseat fanatic. If I had any rearfacing kids I might be able to get it work. Like pp said, it's all abou the seats, puzzling and order you install them.
I've heard that the Honda Odyessy might be a tad bit bigger in the 3rd row, but the middles row 3rd seat is only a sliver. I have a full 3rd seat.- Flag
