Help with wording - updating contract

Silly me, I didn’t have it in my contract that if they use their vacation week during a closed paid holiday, that the holiday wouldn’t be discounted. So Xmas week where I’m
Closed Monday & Tuesday I have 4 families taking their vacation week... and i have to pay my assistants for the holidays so overall An expensive week for me.

Does anyone have a clause where a discounted vacation week can’t be used during a paid holiday? Am I being unfair?

IME, It will be easier to do away with their unpaid/discounted vacation week in the new year. It is one of those "constant drama" policies that continue to be a battle every year.

I get it that it is a lot of missed income at one week, but it equals the same amount of money no matter when they take it.

I no longer give discounts or free days/weeks etc but when I did I just said

"Vacation or free days may not be used during provider vacation days/weeks or during the final two weeks of care"
