You should to contact your local Resource & Referral agency to ask them since most official rates are averages by city/county etc. not by areas in the cities.
You can also try going on Facebook and finding a local mom group or sometimes you get lucky and can find a local childcare connection group and can ask there what the average rates are. Most often child care providers will answer.
The best, but not most expedient, option is to contact a few of the child care providers in the area that you are looking for and ask them. You can check with your local resource & referral agency for a list of providers in that area and give them a call.Comment

My sister-in-law law charged between $150-185 a week in Des Moines proper, I believe. I live in a nearby community and all providers in my area get around $125 week.Comment
