    Air Quality and Outdoor Time

I live in a city that has the worst air quality in the nation during the winter months due to inversion.

The air quality is suppose to be terrible for at least the rest of this week, into next week.

Would you keep the kids indoors every time there is terrible air quality?

If there is a warning for vulnerable populations to stay inside, we stay inside. Our air quality issues are usually from fires. We live in a huge valley with the largest natural lake on our side of the country, and also the best air quality in the country. BUT, when we are having fires, it turns sepia outside and rains ash.

We have pretty awful inversion issues, I don't live right in town, but we haven't had to stay in because of it yet. Usually for us when it's that awful it's too cold to go out anyway. (We stay in any time it's below zero.)
