What Are Your Hours?

Just wondering what everyone’s hours are. My daycare is open from 7-530. A couple of my families drop off at 7 and pickup at 530...just bc they know they can. My Next contract will specify hours and implement a late fee!

I used to be 7-5:30 but that last half hour was a killer, and I got really upset when there were late pick ups because then it was pushing 6:00.

Now I'm 7-5 and that half hour change made a big difference. I'm much less upset over late pick ups because I'm still done before 5:30.

7:00-5:30. I have a sib set that attends 9-5/5:15. 3 year old 7:50/8:00-4:40. 2 year old 7:40-5:10 (used to be 3:45 pick up twice a week but dad moved out of state and they are joining him in a few months). 1 year old 8:00-anywhere between 4:30-5:30 (if later than 5:15 I know ahead of time). Then there’s my niece that comes at 7:15 or 7:30 and can leave as early as 3:30 or be here as late as 5:30. Mom is a teacher so depends on meetings and stuff and sometimes I just offer to keep her if I’m going out to their house that night.

6:45 to 5:30. I really want to close at 5:15 but dh is afraid I will lose families. I know all my families can make that work but they won't like it.

7-5:15, no contracted hours, but still none of my kids are here open to close. Though I do have one that drops off at 7 and another that is picked up daily at 5:15.

When I first opened I was 7-6. I have gradually pared that down to a point that I am happy with.

My website, handbook and all other paperwork state:

"BC's Child Care does not have standard open to close hours but instead offers care to families on contracted hours. Care is only available to your family for the hours in which you are contracted for. Care hours are not available before 7:00 AM or after 5:00 PM."

I feel so incredibly lucky right now! I work 8:15 (9 on Mondays) to about 4:30.

I'm open from 7am to 6pm.
My dream is when I don't have my own kids in care that ill be able to close at 5pm. Im hoping when i have more spots available that ill not be so despriate to fill my spots right away and can pick family's only wanting care till then.

We opened from 6am until 6pm Monday through Friday closed the weekend
