Hi all i m new n planning to do my own day care in home how can i start i have heard that i have to be licensed and then government will provide me 3 to 5 kids and food ?? I m confused it is true??or i have to find kids by my self??

I m in Atlanta Georgia... the website about licensing is kind of confusing to me i just want to do 4 or 5 kids at my home by myself nit a center just in home because i have a 2 year old with me so cant work anywhere

I would say give them a call and inquire about the process to be licensed. There are required classes to take typically, a home inspection, CPR/First Aid, a background check, fingerprinting, and quite a bit of paperwork.
