So I had yet another audit by our local fire department. I'm in Michigan. Last time he was here he told me I had to have my fire alarms written down in a a log and that I needed to replace my fire alarms with wireless fire alarms. Well, we do fire alarms, but I just never wrote them down, so I've done that now. Now I begin the search for wireless smoke detectors. I don't have tons of money laying around, so would like to be frugal about this, while getting a quality product. Does anyone have these? What kind did you get? I'm not even sure how many I need to have really. I know I need one in every room that the daycare kids nap in. I have an L shaped ranch.

We have wireless alarms like this:
The First Alert PRC710 10-Year Photoelectric Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Alarm is a battery-powered alarm that provides uninterrupted monitoring for up to a decade. It features a photoelectric sensor to detect smoke from smoldering fires and an electrochemical sensor to detect carbon monoxide leaks. It also has a built-in 10-year battery and a sleek, low-profile design.
Co2 alarms that are similar. Fully encased battery that you never change and lasts up to 10 yrs. After that, you just toss and buy another one.
In my home, we have inter connected alarms that are built into the wiring system with battery back up. Installation by an electrician required.- Flag
