    Sleep Training

Ive got 3 children currently in my care. A 13 month old, a 4 month old and a 3 month old. The 13 month old takes regular naps in the am (45 minutes) and pm (2hrs). The two infants currently nap shortly after each feeding. The feedings vary for each infant (one eats every 2.5-3 hrs and the other eats every 4 hours) so the naps are sort of all over the place. And they both sleep for different lengths of time when they do nap. The 4 month old usually just takes a 20min cat nap. The 3 month old tends to nap about 1-2hrs. My question is when is the best time to start transitioning the infants to taking regularly scheduled naps like the 13 month old takes where I put them in the crib at a set time and then they stay there until the nap time has ended?

In your situation I'd start now... leaving them for small amounts of time after they wake gradually increasing until you have them on the schedule you want. I'm not a fan of CIO unless babies are well over 6 months but you can definitely start steering them in the right direction now

Agree. I wouldn't do anything with a 3 month old personally but according to my sleep book as long as a child is 4 months and 16 lbs they are ok to sleep train. For a daycare child I would likely wait until 6-8 months.
