I've sent a few potential clients with babies your way (gave them your website address). I have 2 spots I can't fill - everyone is having babies and I'm due with my own in November. Fun times... The reduced work load is nice with me being so close to delivering and my 2 week leave.
I'm Getting A New Baby

I've been burned 3 times holding or terming someone else for newborn spots.
First time, dcm was a teacher and with school cutbacks (she was a computer teacher) they changed her contract to pt, so she decided to stay home. Lost 4 months pay.
Second time, sadly, baby was born with an immunity syndrome and could not come to daycare. Lost 2 1/2 months pay.
Third time, parents decided they wanted 12-hour days (I do 9.5) so are moving on to a center. This one hurt the most because another pregnant family was squeezed out that were heartbroken to go. I lost only 4 weeks pay on that one.
My point is, things can change a lot in 7 months. You just never know. I do not "promise" spots to anyone unless they pay my 2-week deposit, pay a holding fee per week, and sign my contract stating that none of that money is refundable. I've had 2 families agree to it since implementing. I have one current that can't/won't pay the weekly fee, and are going to wait and see what happens. While I hate the chance that the older one might be leaving me, I love my own family more.- Flag
