    Belly Button

I have two brothers whose bellybuttons are completely closed. They do not have "normal" looking belly buttons and the fact that they are from the same family makes me wonder if this was intentional. Does anyone know why this is? I have never seen a comoletely closed belly button before!

    Interesting.

    Have you asked your mom?

They are not MY brothers! Lol. Two kids at my daycare who are brothers. If they were my brothers I would have asked my mom!

I was thinking the same thing! I'm confused. How is a belly button closed?

          Ok, I definitely misinterpreted that.

          Ask their mom.

I don’t want to ask the mom which is why I came here . Thought maybe someone knew the answer off hand.

              gastroschisis or omphalecele

Answer (1 of 4): I've not known of anyone born from a mother to not have one. That is the place where the umbilical cord was attached, which kept the body alive before birth.

              They are also our future.

It could definitely be one of those but both boys having it is a little odd. It also just looks like they folded the belly button over and stitched it, as it is not a big area. Who knows!

Thanks Mike for helping this curious mind
