    Diabetes and Daycare

    Is it allowed to run a daycare and have Type 2 diabetes? I was just diagnosed am scared of losing my license...

    You are fine. Most people with Type 2 suffer from HIGH blood glucose levels not low. Its the lows that will knock you down. literally.

        I would check AK rules and regulations just to be sure.
        My DH is my assistant/second caregiver and he has Type 1 diabetes and is cleared for daycare.

            I don't know but almost 99.9% sure you'll be fine. I bet there are tons of providers out there with undiagnosed conditions of all sorts who still care for children just fine. You're probably in shock from learning you have it and are scared. You will be fine. Just remember to take good care of yourself(and your FEET) and do as your doctor tells you. :hug:
