    Eclipse!

Anybody else near the eclipse path?

    Got any plans?

We're half an hour south of the edge of the path, so I'm not going to make it a day care event--instead, I'm closing and driving up to the center of the path. Sweetwater, TN has a little festival going on, so we'll tour the Lost Sea and then eat at the festival before the eclipse.

    Here's hoping no clouds.

Maybe I'll see you . I'm stopping there for a few hrs on my way to Florida (I live about 45 min away and I'm in the path so I would see it anyway if stayed home). It's been a few years since I went to the Lost Sea

I literally live on the north edge of where it will be eclipse here in Blount County (Near McGee Tyson Airport). I already have my Certified glasses for watching cuz ya know you don't want to burn the eyes out. The Smokey Mts are in the path & they are doing a River tour thru some company there (forget the name), plus of course there is Sweetwater .

I heard some small towns in the path are telling residents to shop/get gas a few days before because they expect a huge influx of people wanting to see the Eclipse. I can just imagine the traffic jams that will happen in some places

I so wish we could see it! We're in the path for a partial but my family is having a reunion in Oregon right on the path for a total eclipse. Unfortunately, we have our daughter's first IEP meeting during the eclipse , so we won't even be able to see the partial.
