Greta, your post made me want to cry! I love my cats so much and wouldn't be able to drive if I saw him in so much pain. It doesn't take much to get me worked up, which I hate. I'm so sorry about your cat. I am glad someone saw the cat so he didn't suffer too long. I sure hope your dc mom who just came hit him?! So sad, I hope I live in a safe, quiet, low-traffic neighborhood incase my cats ever got out the door.

I am 100% positive that she didn't hit him. She would have said something. No doubt. She and I were sitting in my living room chatting when we noticed him out the window. It had just happened by the way he was acting. She had been chatting with me for a good 20+ minutes.

He was always outside and very skittish of vehicles. I wasn't much of a cat person, I'm more of a dog person, but this guy had the personality of a dog. He was awesome.

Oh, Greta. That is so sad. I am sorry you had to go through that and that your cat had to suffer. I am so glad someone was there to help with the kids while you did what you could for your Ernie.
