I assume you discussed enrollment at that time with that mom as you had to have at some time notified her of pushing back enrollment. I am just curious what the mom thinks the reason is.

My advice is trial period with both.
Mom knows it was because of my wish for low numbers.

We both wanted little man to start when he was around 12 months. I actually just found out not too long ago that he wasn't walking yet :/

In regards to walking. I would bet that he will be by 18 months. My little guy just started walking at 17 months on his own. Before he hit 16 months he did not want to walk with us holding hands but would walk on funiture at about 14 months. Most kids walk by 18 months at the latest unless they are delayed (with some exceptions). So if that's what holding you back I would not worry.

I would push for a 3 day minimum at a higher daily rate, especially to get him used to you. A child around 18m, 2 days a week, never been in daycare before? Ouch.
