    Would You Exclude For This?

Dck came in on Monday and did not eat more than a bite of food all day, but was otherwise energetic and happy, no fever. I warned mom about possible stomach bug. Mom came in the next morning saying dck threw up on the way home after daycare but I allowed her stay because she was acting fine, has a lot of food sensitivities, and had eaten since but had mom have a backup ready. All day Tues and Wed she did not eat a bite but had a great demeanor and participated all day so I did not call for pick up. Today she pooped her pants on accident when she farted...finished in the toilet and was not diarrhea. So unlike this child to have an accident. Still would not eat today. Don't know what to do. Somethings up, but she doesn't really have excludable symptoms? Anyone dealt with something like this? I'm honestly surprised mom isn't more worried because this is a kid who cleans her plate at every meal. She loves food.

Idk. My first thought was that she was constipated and that's why she wasn't feeling hunger. Was the poop normal looking? Has she eaten anything at all? Or had liquids?

I would exclude but I also would not have allowed her to stay after throwing up the night before.

I require parents to tell me if ever their child is I'll web at home and what happened. I would've refused them at the door.

Poop is soft, but not diarrhea. She does drink liquids fine.

Ugh, sometimes it's so hard to call it. I think I'd exclude coz she's just not her normal self.

The play well/energy/not contagious is just a guideline. If no one knows what's going on, who is to say that she's not contagious?

Has anyone checked her throat? Sometimes kids don't eat coz it hurts to swallow.

Same here. That's scary to have such a huge shift in eating behaviors.
