I was doing sooo well by going just once a week, saving probably 20 bucks or so by not making an unnecessary trip Thursday nights. But last night I was taking stock of fruits/veggies/milk to last through Friday and realized I'd have to bite the bullet and go. So it looks like it's back to 2x a week for me. Not too bad feeding 8 dcks and trying to stay away from canned goods.

I plan it out to start @ the Farmers market & then the 2 or 3 other stores (inc the Ethnic markets if needed). I keep a cooler in the back specifically to keep things cold when it's hot like it has been

I go to costco every other week. I freeze a lot of stuff. For fresh veggies I hit my local Saturday organic street market every other week too. I buy stuff that will last like apples and watermelon or carrots. I cook on Monday mornings and freeze most of my stuff. I dont go to the grocery store or other stores for food in between.
I also freeze bread and milk- Flag

I go almost never!!! I was making 2-3 runs a week, but started getting my groceries delivered a few years ago, and it is WONDERFUL! I spend 5-20 minutes entering an order, rather than 1.5-2 hours at the store. I schedule delivery to arrive right after breakfast, and the timing is perfect. The store that delivers to me is the most expensive in my area, but I save a LOT of money by not grabbing impulse items.- Flag

Y'all make me want to buy things to freeze now. ::
One to two times a week. One day I hit Aldi and Kroger for the main things (and produce if needed) and the other day I hit Sprouts for any good, organic produce sales.- Flag

Oh good, I don't feel so alone now! I do one big trip on Sunday for the week, but always have to have my husband stop on his way home at least once a week (sometimes twice) to do a re-fill! For one thing, I can't store enough milk in my fridge for the week. Another thing, I inevitably forget something! Lol- Flag

I hate grocery shopping so if it were up to me I'd only go once a week and we'd go without in between. DH likes to do "short" trips often - sometimes every day.I don't get it because it takes the same amount of time to drive to/from the grocery store no matter how much you buy, so why not get everything at once and save that driving time? But he's in charge of family suppers and grocery shopping so I don't say anything.

I go to the farmer's market and Whole Foods / Trader Joes weekly (I rote those two stores EOW).
I also go to Costco every 1-2 months as needed and load up on bulk items mostly supplies (wipes, paper towels, toilet paper) but will get some food items while there normally.- Flag
