So I am purchasing this storage unit for my living room. I have a similar one in my hall that I keep my stuff in. Since this is going to be in my living room and have toys in it, I am wondering if I could affix a dark piece of cloth inside each bin to pull over top of the toys when kids aren't here so you don't see the toys during non-daycare times. I know the view will be limited anyway, but would nice to have something over them anyway. Even to hook a dark piece of felt over them so you can't see inside. What do you think?

I think that could be a good idea, or even simpler, hang a nice piece of fabric over the whole thing. During daycare, flip it backwards to cover the top, and during non daycare, down over the front, like this simple little graphic.

To clarify: you won't be using the baskets in the picture?

Just another idea: You could use a small tension curtain rod and put that just under the top.
