    18 month and bottles

I have an 18 month old who will not drink milk out of a sippy cup. She will only drink milk from a bottle. She will drink water from a sippy cup though. Any thoughts?

I don't allow anything to be served in a bottle after age 12-13 months. I make sure parents know this several months in advance so they can start the transition at home.

After their first birthday, I serve whatever I am serving in a cup and they either drink it or don't.

Just like lunch. It's their choice.

I don't make a huge fuss over it and other than lifting the cup their mouth a time or two or saying "drink your milk" I don't stress about it.

If she is capable of doing it but choosing not to then it's simply a matter of CHOICE not ability.

I would just serve her water then. If you are on the FP and required to serve her milk I would serve it (and toss it) - eventually she may decide to drink it.

I like cups or Klean Kanteens but for sippys it is hard not to like these: https://www.amazon.com/Munchkin-Mira...munchkin+sippy

I had a FOUR year old show up here with her BaBa Friday. Her mom feels as though she is unsure about her 5th birthday approaching.i feel it's because mom and dad are huge pushovers who are scared to death of saying no. It was immediately handed back to mom-I'm not going to be bullied by a four year old

She's not going to starve or even really suffer at all from not getting a milk baba at your house...just stop them at the door. She'll either drink milk from a cup or she won't. She's not a baby cow, so she'll be fine without it.

I love the Munchkins Miracle, but I prefer the 7oz ones just because all my kids are under 24 months... I start training on these by 10-11 months with water and by a year old they have a good hang of it (7oz have handles); even the parents have them @ home because it's so easy to use. By 18 months we are using or training on small cups no lids

Guess she's not thirsty . If she drinks water out of it, then she knows how. She will not dehydrate, so I would give it to her and if she doesn't drink it oh well. Sooner or later she will.
