I'd like to build more of this in, so I'm looking for some new ideas. Any tried and true naming writing practice ideas?

I use a site that allows you to type in the child's name and then it prints it off in dotted lines like we did in school.
You can choose options that allow for finger tracing as well for the younger kids that are just learning the basic writing skills.
I print off one for each child's name and put it in a plastic sleeve. Then we use dry erase markers.
I've also used "See it, Build it, Write it" as a method of teaching them to write their names.
Read: Place one of the cards in the top box and read the word together.
Build: Use letter tiles or magnets to build the word in the second box.
Write: Practice writing the word in the bottom box using dry erase markers.- Flag

I do a "writing club" where each day the children work on their names ---- today they are doing it in sand with their fingers, I purchased small trays from Lakeshore for the sand.- Flag

I use the zaner bolser auditory script and we write our names every morning when we come in on a white marker board.
I write their name on an indez card, they find their name and then they use a magnet to put it up on the marker board.
i go first using the script. for the letter L, I would say, while holding a marker in my hand and actually doing it, start at the top, pull straight down, slide to the right. We made the letter L, the first letter in your name. Then it is their turn.
If the child does not have the ability to hold a pen, marker or chalk yet, we use the letter magnets.
All of my kids write their names before leaving. teachers model how to do it every day for the kids.- Flag
