I am getting so fed up with the 4 year old I have. I have never in 27 years had such an oral child. Everything has to go in the mouth. I am constantly telling her to get the toys, hands and furniture out of her mouth. She has a permanent rash around her whole mouth like a clown makeup gone bad. The kids don't want to play with her because her hands and clothes are always wet. Her parents think it is funny. Thank goodness she is going to preschool in July. I can finally stop disinfecting toys every single day. Sorry just venting LOL

I'd maybe give her a container of toys just for her. Something she can chew on and mouth all day long but the others dont have access to. I'd also deny her access to other things.
****s to have to set up two environments or have two sets of supplies/toys but with kids that age and still mouthing things you might have to just for sanitary reasons.- Flag

It could be a sensory issue. I would ask the parents to provide her with 'chewelry'. It IS a HUGE sanitation issue. EVERY SINGLE TIME she goes to put something in her mouth, redirect her to the chewelry. I would also make her help wash the things she is mouthing (natural consequence).
This was my youngest son, he would chew his shirts, fingernails, etc. unless his mouth was busy. He has a serious gum addiction, but that 'cured' his oral fixation.
