I gave notice to parents today that I am done with daycare. I admire and respect all of you who are still providing amazing care to the children in your programs. So many parents don't understand everything that goes into doing this. I couldn't go on anymore and need to start focusing on my health and next chapter of my life. SO much respect for the leaders on this board for the advice and guidance during my time as a care provider. I made a lot (LOT) of mistakes as a business owner but it made me grow so much as a person. I also pissed off a lot of families with those mistakes, but I know that deep down the children I cared for were loved even if others didn't appreciate everything I did. I was passionate about what I did when I did it, and have the utmost respect for all the hardworking individuals who continue on in this field. Your work is so much more important than what people give credit to early childhood providers for.
