    I Termed

I texted her last night and told her I needed to talk to her and to give me some extra time this morning. I told her I had to go ahead and terminate. That I was available for 2 weeks but that after that she would have to find other care.

I told her I was cutting 3 families, that with the new programs and higher quality of care being provided, I was doing too much, and wanted to cut back. That I chose her because he is potty trained, that their hours are easiest to find, in searching for another provider. The paper I gave her had no reason, only that termination notice was provided and what date was the last for care. she point blank asked me if it was she was behind, I told her it was a variety of reasons and I wished her luck, she started crying,.. then another parent walked in. She left.

Good for you! She was behind, wasn't she? Or she was a late payer. I don't understand why she would be so surprised. . . who wants to work for someone who doesn't pay on time?

She has been on time 2 times in 28 months. She now is caught up (well pymmt would be due today by noon) for next week if i didnt term however her 2 week deposit paid for the next two weeks. I use the deposit for the term period because they generally skip out on it. This is my 3rd term in almost 23 years.

Some daycare provider out there is not going to realize it, but you just did them a big favor. Good for you, hope she learns from it.

Well she has NO IDEA that she is paid ahead but she just picked up and did not attempt to pay for next week so I'm guessing he isn't coming back.

plus I emailed my licensor this morning, have been chatting with her throughout today, she said if she made a report that she would have to come out,... I replied with, cool, if its in the next 9 weeks we will be in our baking theme and have goodies. . she said,.. and I quote.....

Yummmy.....that sounds inviting! Hopefully, for both of us this parent will move on quietly. If not, don't worry, I know that you run a quality home.

You said she walked out crying and another parent came in and saw her? Did the other parent ask or say anything? I can't believe someone could pay late continuously. It would drive me bonkers.
