        Of course. Just use exterior grade plywood. Means the glue in the plywood can withstand water. Just browse through a dollar store, and any store(s) that sell hardware or auto parts, and pick things you think he would like. The only trick is mounting everything. Some will just screw on and some will require drilling a hole.

        Steep prices? Too pricey? For what?
        Start small. Go to Home Depot, get a 2' x 2' pc of plywood, a dollar store for some cheap hardware, and you're good to go. $10 tops. Just hang the pc of plywood on the wall.

          We were talking about the prices in the Etsy shop posted by daycare diva. For the quality of the craftsmanship of those toys, the prices are probably right, but I still can't afford them.
