Reflux and Solids?

Anyone have expirence with infants that have reflux spitting up solids? I have had infants spit up milk before but never solids. Infant is 8 months old and on reflux meds. Dr. Has changed the dose several times as baby's weigh increased. Mom has asked the dr about spitting up baby food but the dr isn't concerned because she is gaining weight not a lot of weight but weight. Would you tell the mom to take the baby to an upper GI docotr? I just worry the constant spitting up of the solids will tare up the baby's esophagus??? Thoughts and opinions are greatly apprecieated. Thank You.

I have one with reflux who is spitting up Pediasure (it's a little thicker than his formula was). If it's an issue for the child, he SHOULD see a pediatric gastroenterologist, and maybe a feeding therapist, as well.
