    Activities...HELP

I need some help thinking of cheap activities to keep my children busy this summer. I have 2 children going into 1st grade, one going into 4th, one going into 3rd, and my own (going into 5th)...

anyone have some simple quick craft ideas to share that will keep them busy...or any game ideas? Maybe a website that has ideas? I'm open to anything, thanks ladies

chalk drawings on sidewalk (or have them trace around eachother on the driveway and color in pieces of their personality), basketball games with a twist, scavenger hunts with inexpensive prizes or a simple reward, Painting outdoors, educational computer time alloted (Jumpstart is a good one; funbrain.com).

Board games, outdoor races;hopscotch;mini-maze (made up of different toys--I've used hoola hoops, sit and ride cars, play balls, jump ropes, card board boxes, etc.), Perler beads are a hit with the girls, stage a play or have a rockstar day.

Whatever you choose to do, find something that enlists their help and creativity. It will keep them occupied for a long time and it will boost their self-esteem as well

    Hope this helps!

Only have a minute here......make a Tent on the clothesline out of old sheets/blankets. Will post more later.

Age 6 is the oldest I have right now. We spend a lot of time just being outside on the climber, castle, teeter totter, sprinkler, squirt guns, dodge ball, kick ball, various outside games. Kids love to make a tent and have picnics in the yard. I don't allow the word "BORED" to be said. Unfortunately, kids today don't know how to use their imagination and play. They think they need some type of video equipment in their hand all the time.

Other suggestions: badmitton, croquet, board games, volleyball, sprinkler, we planted a tomato plant and are watching it grow, side walk chalk, lay under a tree and read a book.
