I'm having a party right now! All kids gone, DC mom brought Starbucks (she even called my DH to ask what kind I like), and I'm watching the view. According to YOUR definitions....THIS is a party! Sugar laden and television = party. Ooooh, and I have leftover apple pie and homemade whipped cream left from the kids "party" today. Double party for me!

My kids have no problem when I call a special day a party. We do things theme related all day long. For example tomorrow is pj. Party. The kids will for the most part have a typical day. We will have cereal for one of our snacks. Have eggs and Walffels with veggies for lunch to go with our theme. Kids will do something for craft that's bed related. Also we will have a pj parade and march around either out or inside with musical instruments (my kids equal to pared to s party day.)
But for any of our party's I dont invite parents at all. If the kids get a treat it may be mini cupcakes for birthdays or we make / decor ate small cookies or cupcakes the kids will do a few but only eat one the rest are made for mom and dad and sent home.- Flag
