I have a 5 month old that went home today and broke out into, what looks to me, like a heat rash. Actually I have no experience with this, I'm judging on DH's experience.
I live in MI. It was 64 degrees today. I keep the house at 70-72. It did feel hot when I had the oven on today, but that is upstairs, and we spend the majority of our time downstairs, where it is cooler.
The only odd thing was I had a doctor's appt today and left for 2 hours. DH was there and said the baby didn't want to be put down, so he held her the entire 2 hours. He said she felt like a furnace. She does "run hot". But...so does DH. He's the person you go to in winter when it's 20 degrees out to warm up. I'm really stretching here...but is it possible the baby got overheated becaise she runs hot and so does DH?
I have no idea how heat rash works. How in the world could it happen in November in MI? Help a woman out here!
