Day Care in Virginia

Hi,

I am relocating to VA after 6 years of doing day care in CT. CT is very regulated. How are the laws in VA? So far what Ihave read is that I do not need to be licensed to do day care. Is this correct? What is the difference between licensed and not being licensed?

Any other information I should know? Like going rates? I would be moving to the Tappahanock area.

Good morning.

Did you get moved to Tappahannock yet?

I live in St. Stephens Church (about 15 mins from Tappahannock - if you're not moved yet). I'm in the VERY beginning stages of possibly opening up a daycare. If I decide to proceed maybe we can help each other out.
