What Dolls to Use in a Barbie House?

I have my older daughter's old barbie house set up in the play room. Its a nice wooden one from Kidkraft with furniture. The kids have been playing with it, but i don't really like Barbies. Any suggestions for other dolls?

Lakeshore learning has a wide variety of dolls. They are quite pricey though so I would check amazon and discount school supply first.

Wouldn't the Fisher Price doll house dolls work well. They are plastic tho. They do sell them individually or in groups of two. Also skippers are nice dolls and skipper's little sisters. I guess there would be no parents!!!
