Kids are wound up because of Halloween. We did our 'party' (made cookies, decorated foam pumpkins, Halloween music and games) and were getting ready to go for a walk to the bank and library for candy grubbing when...lockdown. Of course. Ugh!

Should've figured when I saw 3 state boys flying down the main road.

Getting tired of lockdowns. 3rd one this year alone.

We watched a movie instead. Kids were bummed.

I'm around the Kzoo area. This one was because there was an armed suicidal person in a house near here.

The one prior to this was an armed bank robbery 2 blocks away.

The one prior to that was....um.....I don't even remember anymore. A few years ago there was an escaped convict of some kind in the area. SWAT, helicopters, it was a big thing. Same year a guy killed his mom and ran from police and got away from them on foot somewhere in town here.

Lots of woods around here, lots of country, lots of farms. Lots of places to hide basically.

Sorry! State boys is referring to the State Police cars and their officers. We never see them out this way unless something big is going on. We usually just see the Sheriff do a drive through once a week or so.

Lockdown is when windows & doors are locked, black out the windows/doors, lights off. We can't go outside at all.

This lockdown was for an armed suicidal individual in a house near here. The person was unstable and the police weren't sure what was going to happen.
