    There is a way and I've used it many times. Try it. When you go to sleep, say to yourself 20 times the time you need to wake up (I must wake up at 4:30am) while visualizing what it will look like when you wake up. (the sunrise, sounds, light etc) It works for me every time I tried it since I was 10 years old after a 90 year old man told me. Hope it works for you.

      I can honestly say that I have never slept in and been late for daycare but I start at 8:00 not 6:30 like some of you ....that would be so hard for me to do everyday. Call me lazy.
      I have never been late for a job period!
      I have never even had any of my kids arrive late for school!!
      Call me lazy and neurotic!
      I was recently late for my child's doc appointment...heavy traffic...thought my brain was going to burst! I hate being late! I actually starting sweating a little...that is how much it bugged me!!:: Like I said Neurotic!!

      ALSO....I hate being kept waiting while someone else is running late!

      On a side note: my neighbor across the street has only one child and I have many. I am usually on the super early side of on time getting my kids to school and she is always ten minutes late. I want to say "respect your child's teacher, use an alarm clock and set it for twenty minutes earlier for crying out loud!:: I just don't get it.

        Interesting! I'll try it! Are you still tired when you wake up or does this method have your body ready to wake up? Honestly, I'm really curious about this!

          Mine either! That's why it was so strange that they didn't hear anything! My husband comes home sometimes very late at night from his job and I'm already asleep. The dogs instantly start growling, waking me up. They didn't make a peep that morning. It was just a bad situation all around! But, like I said, hasn't happened since, nor do I have any intention of letting it happen again!!!

            I think you are more awake then usual. The body has an internal clock. I could not understand how I could wake up exactly at the time I focused on the night before. It is mind over matter.

            Long story - When I was ten my grandfather (from Italy) and I went to a Farmer's Market in West Palm Beach Florida. There was an old guy there doing some sort of performance with around twenty people surrounding him. He was one of those guys you see pulling a train with his beard, just incredible stuff. He took a couple of horse shoes and bent them like they were made of play dough. He then gave the bent horse shoes to everyone to prove they could not be bent back by mortal human beings. This had an effect on me as a young boy. Since I was the youngest person there he asked me to hold up one side of a large board 4 inches thick and proceeded to take a very large nail, like a railroad spike, and thrust it into the wood with one hand. I was holding the other end and I did not drop it. It blew my mind. He then told us how he could get anyone to wake up at whatever time they wanted without an alarm clock. The one thing I remember at the end of the show was my grandfather saying "horsecrap" in Italian. He wasn't a believer but the mental alarm clock worked for me every time. Let me know if it works for you.

              Actually I think I do ::

              I can't sleep late. Even as I try so hard on the weekends, I still can't. The latest I have slept on a Saturday was 8:30 and even then, I felt like my day is shot!

              Back to Michael's idea: that's what I tell myself. I have to get up because someone is counting on me. Someone is depending on me. Blah blah.

              Now if only I can have an alarm that will let me sleep in...heck..sleeping in to me is 7:00 a.m. ::

                  I'm jealous! I'll have to try Michael's technique! If no one wakes me up, or if the alarm isn't set, I'll sleep until 9. And you're right, I feel like my whole day is out the window!
