I have a 3 yo dcg, whose new baby sister is 3 weeks old. Dcg has always been pretty strong willed, very smart, and given lots of attention. She loves her baby sister and mom says she does very well at home with her. Plus both parents are home at the moment so I'm sure she's still getting tons of attention. But needless to say, a new baby brings huge changes within a home.
Anyways, a new thing dcg is doing is screaming. And it's not always due to a problem; could just be 'because she can'.
How can I get her to quiet things down, short of getting duct tape?
I've tried separating her until she can talk with her indoor voice, telling her that hurts my ears, and several other things. Any ideas?
