In February, my own little one will join our group. Admittedly, I have very, very little experience with infants (and that is why I don't take accept them into my program currently). My toddlers are on a super solid routine and they all nap two full hours/until I wake them without fail. They are also super active and noisy when they are awake (and this is why they nap so well)! I'm thinking about what life will be like when an infant joins us.
Any tips on how to allow for multiple naps, while not mandating quiet from toddlers? Will infants just sleep through it (I honestly have no idea)? I do plan on carefully sleep training my little one so he is accustomed to the daycare environment (particularly the noise of the environment), but I'm a bit lost beyond that. My new daycare space is much larger than my current space, but it is all one floor with no private rooms (there will be a kitchen nook I could tuck a pack'n'play in). I also plan to babywear a lot, so I suppose sometimes the infant could sleep in the carrier, but I don't want to create a dependency. The baby books don't answer this one!
Thank you so much!
