    Thanks again ladies you are all amazing.....

    I just heard back from the clients.

    She stated that do to the store location she wanted was unavalable until Jan 2017 that they could not at this time afford to place child with me. They would like to come Jan if I still had a spot.

    That's 4 months away, so it will most like be filled by then.

    Thank you all again for your time.....

      I would tell them that the spot unexpectedly became available and ask if they had secured childcare yet.

        Well, at least you heard from them.

        Personally, I would not deal with this family any more. You lost the income from holding the spot for them. You've turned a potential family away. And now you have to try to fill the spot again.

        Very frustrating. I've been there.

          One thing that took me awhile to learn is not to chase a parent for any reason.

          Especially in the beginning. If I am having to contact you several times just to get you in here and you lag getting back to me, normally I find that this paints the picture of what your relationship will be in the future.

          You may have just dodged a huge bullet.

          I always say that good things will come to those who wait.
