    Toilet Paper Trouble

I think there is a small forest being cleared every week for the amount of toilet paper my DCK are going through. It is getting to the point that I worry about my septic system. I find it impossible to accompany every child to the facilities...but I am at a loss for ideas. Any input?

I have a really REALLY old Septic ...so I use the cheapest paper there is ...
you can test you paper to see how fast and well it disolves ...few sheets in glass of water over night ...

if it looks the same in the am ...well it will look and stay that way in septic for long time
if it turns to milky white in am and mush ....it will help your septic
as for you bum ...that a different story ...

Did you see the popular Pinterest thing with the stop line? They put a line of masking tape a couple inches below the toilet paper tube and write "stop" or "that's enough" or something and you show the kids to only pull the toilet paper down to that line. Doesn't help if they believe they need more wipes though. :/ Something to try!

I have the Kimberly Clark dispensers listed in that post Michael linked to (toilet paper and paper towel dispensers).
I love them! Got them off Amazon and I have refills on "subscribe and save".
It does still take some training on them with the kids. They are only allowed to take one at a time. But it does help cut down on the excess usage tremendously!

In the meantime, try squishing your roll so the tube inside its a perfect circle anymore. It makes the roll stop after each roll.

I have tried to coach the children to take as many squares as they are old. Sometimes it works

I have one who I wish he would take MORE. I took 1 sqaure when he needed...lots. He had his finger all the way in his bum, I made him wash his hands before pulling up his pants (he's very independent 3yo but I didn't want him getting poo all over his pants and everything else) so he screamed n my face like a maniac that I stole his pants and wouldn't let him poke his butt...yep sorry I realize this isn't the venting thread. Just needed to get that out apparently

I took some masking tape and taped below the roll how much they should roll out.
